To understand the skills and knowledge required to identify confined space hazards, implement safe working procedures for confined space entry and awareness of the need to use and respond to atmospheric monitoring equipment. 

This course will allow candidates to:

• Identify the hazards associated with confined spaces 
• Understand the relevant Health and Safety
• Legislative requirements 
• Select, wear check and use the correct personal protective equipment 
• Identify known and unknown gas atmospheres 
• Check, use and respond to atmosphere monitoring equipment 
• Understand the importance and contents of a permit to work; and safe working procedures for confined space entry 

Confined space awareness training is for construction workers who occasionally work in tight, cramped or in a substantially closed space. 

Candidates will recieve a 3 year certificate of training.
