  • Course Aim:

    To ensure those responsible for control of legionella on sites have the knowledge and understanding necessary. To access legionella risk, record and review.

    There is now greater awareness of legionella and the devastating impact it can have on environments and people. While high-profile outbreaks and public enquiries into those outbreaks have been prominent in the news over the last few decades, it’s become more important than ever to ensure those responsible for controlling the risk of legionella have the requisite knowledge.

  • Course Objective:

    The qualification will give learners the knowledge and understanding of the effects of legionella on the body. Additionally the impact an outbreak could have on a working site, as well as how to identify and control the risks associated with legionella bacteria and how legislation and codes of practice can support its control.

    Topics include:

    ·  The risks associated with legionella bacteria and legionellosis

    ·  How legislation and codes of practice can support the management of legionella bacteria

    ·  How to control the risks associated with legionella bacteria

  • Who is this course for:

    Those in the role or aspiring to be in the role of Responsible Person relating specifically to control of legionella on a site.

  • On Completion:

    Candidates will recieve a three-year certificate
