Course Aim:
To enable delegates to identify potential risks of legionella and to understand the dangers of
legionella. On completion of the course delegates will be aware of the risks of legionella, managing and preventing risk of legionella, including, current legislation outlining employer and employee responsibilities.

Course Objective:
The legionella awareness course is based on the HSE Guide Legionnaires Disease, a brief guide for duty holders.

- Where are legionella bacteria found?
- Are there legionella risks in my workplace?
- What are my duties?
- How do I identify and assess sources of risk?
- How do I manage the risk?
- How do I prevent or control the risk?
- What records do I need to keep?
- Do I have any other duties?

Who is this course for:
Legionella training is a legal requirement for anyone with a responsibility for the prevention and control of legionella within the workplace.

Candidates will receive a three-year certificate
